These are size 10 men's; from a sportweight yarn called "Crazy", very soft, but unfortunately no longer available because the distributor, Idena ( a Swedish brand) is no longer exporting to the US. I used about 350 yards/3 skeins, and size 3 needles, 56 stitches, plain vanilla sock pattern.

This is the tofu socks! I don't think you can eat them, but you sure can knit them.

These are knit with Patons Kroy in mercury. The cuff is started off with 4 inches of 2x2 rib, then it changes to 4x2 rib. I think these were called Traditional Ribbed Socks from the Classics in Kroy book. I'm doing the same pair for my Dad (yes, boring Kroy Glencheck), but I only did 20 rows of 2x2 rib instead of 44 rows. I don't figure he'll roll the cuff down. Step FIL probably won't either, but it's too late now!
I finished my very first pair of Jaywalkers last night. They would have been done sooner, but I ran out of yarn very close to the toe of the second sock. I used Colinette Jitterbug in the Jay colorway. Wonderful yarn, but it's very dense so a 100 gram skein is quite short on yardage. I did make a larger size sock, but I shortened the cuff to try and avoid using a second skein. It was not in the cards, though. I ordered another skein on Monday and it arrived yesterday. I'll have enough yarn leftover from the second skein to make another pair of normal sized socks. There are more details on my blog.
I have several more sock projects on the needles. I'll have to buckle down and work on only one at at time if I want to keep up with all of you serious knitters.
Here are pairs eight, nine, and ten. They are all for my Dulaan box. All three pairs are knit with leftover hand-dyed merino sock yarn I bought on eBay. Good way to use up leftovers! The bright green and peachy ones are about size two, and the other pair is about size four. I didn't have enough yarn to do those two exactly the same, so I flip-flopped them.
Diana Gabaldon was appearing at the local Barnes & Noble. So I packed up the DPN's and was off!
Now for something completely different, Embossed Leaves from Interweave Knits, "Favorite Socks" done on US 1's with Steinbach Wolle Strapaz. I'm really happy with the way these turned out. Especially since I stumbled a couple times, and had to frog about half a pattern repeat each time. I wasn't too excited about them then! 
I'm working on the Jaywalker socks in Jitterbug in Jay (Colinette). I thought the color name was appropriate. It's an incredible mix of turquoise, teal, purple, jade, olive and kelly green, and the Jaywalker pattern shows off the short repeats very well. The color doesn't really look like any blue jay I've ever seen, though. I'm using 76 stitches on a 2.5 mm needle. This yarn is quite thick, a lot like Socks that Rock. I'm making it slightly shorter so I don't run out. I was lucky enough to trade some other yarn that I wasn't wild about for this wonderful stuff. Turquoise has been my favorite color since the summer of love. It's hard to believe that was 40 years ago, and I missed it because we moved from San Francisco to Connecticut that June.
