
These are knit with
Patons Kroy in mercury. The cuff is started off with 4 inches of 2x2 rib, then it changes to 4x2 rib. I think these were called Traditional Ribbed Socks from the Classics in Kroy book. I'm doing the same pair for my Dad (yes, boring Kroy Glencheck), but I only did 20 rows of 2x2 rib instead of 44 rows. I don't figure he'll roll the cuff down. Step FIL probably won't either, but it's too late now!
This was the longest it ever took me to finish a pair of socks. I had one done for last year's Father's Day. I couldn't bring myself to do to the second one. These are pair eleven for The Plunge.
