sock yarn

I forgot, I wanted to ask, what is the softest sock yarn? I don't have a large sock yarn stash and will need to buy more yarn ( gee darn) I want some super super soft socks what yarn do you suggest.

Thanks

I really like Lorna's Laces, it is very soft. I also like Trekking, Cherry Tree Hill, oh there are others I just can't think of them right now.

I second Lorna's Laces. I also like Socks that Rock (Bluemoon Fiber Arts).

I second and third both yarns Patti mentioned. Also, Fleece Artist merino and Cherry Tree Hill super sock. For cotton, Fixation is very soft. Regia and Opal both make a cotton/wool blend that is super soft. AND Tofutsies is very soft: a soysilk, cotton and wool blend.

I agree Lorna's Laces. Here's the link for the entire line. She sells every color available!

Super Sock from Tess' Designer Yarns and Socks that Rock from Blue Moom Fiber Arts are the two softest that I have ever used.

I just love Lorna's laces too and also Socks that Rock, Cherry tree hill and Fleece Artist. Opal and Trekking are allright too, they get very soft after a couple of washes. Various Etsy sellers have great yarn too like White Willow and Emily Parsons (the Sophie's toes)And I shouldn't forget Lisa Souza! So, try and have fun!

Lorna's Laces seem to be a real favorite of everyone. I am here to second the suggestion of using http://www.yarn-store.com/ . Angelica has the most awesome customer service, she always sends extra goodies, such as patterns and sample cards with little bits of new yarns attached and she is the fastest shipper that I have ever dealt with. She also is willing to order any colorway that she doesn't carry in stock. (although she has enough for me to always have found something that I couldn't live without)
