Well, it's not where I wanted to be right now, but I am chugging along. This pair took so long because it came right at the point where I was supposed to be putting in the garden, etc. etc.
I got the pattern from the book, Sensational Knitted Socks by Charlene Schurch. I had been meaning to try something from that book, and was a bit put off by the whole chart thing, but finally plunged in. The yarn is simply Opal, black.
Now, to catch up with some simpler socks....
