because they are evolved monkeys. Get it? At first I loved all the Monkey socks everyone was making; then I didn't want to jump on the bandwagon. I am not one for the bandwagon, by any means. Then, I started making the socks and LOVED the pattern. They are on 48 sts (rather than 64) I made them on 3.25 mm needles with DMC's wool cotton yarn. I love them, love them, love them. They are the first pair of real socks (not bed socks or footies) that are just for me. This is pair 6......pair 7 is a pair of baby socks made with microfiber yarn from Lion Brand. Same size needles. I don't know who will get them yet. I think I will give them with a baby blanket for a friend of my boyfriend. Even though my last post was as far away as 19 April, I have to slow down on socks to be able to finish said baby blanket. It'll be beautiful but I'll be behind later. AHHHH!
