This is my first knit-along and we'll see how close I come to 52 pairs by the end of the year. I don't have a sock yarn stash. I usually just buy new yarn when I finish a pair but I do have enough on hand right now for 4 pairs.
I've been knitting socks for a little over a year after not knitting anything for about 20 years. I've made maybe 15 pairs of socks and only have 3 pairs in my sock drawer. But relatives and friends have at least one pair in theirs. I probably hold the record for a UFO - a baby sweater I started 3 days before my daughter was born. It needs a sleeve. She's 38 and has 3 kids of her own. I no longer have the yarn or the pattern or I'd finish it for the new granddaughter who's due in August.
